Hooked on the CrossFit Way

I turned 46 this past summer. After being 130-135 for the past 9 years, I just figured there was nothing I could do to get rid of the extra weight. After all, I walked for about an hour every morning throughout the summer and about 2 miles a week during the school year and there was never any change. I thought I was doing all I could and that I would just have to settle – This is just who I am – Deal with it, you’re short and chunky. I used to hate to look at myself in pictures. That’s when I could see how chunky (fat) I really was.
On Monday, July 5th, 2010, my husband and I changed our lives. We began CrossFit. I guess our main reason for doing it was to hopefully be “Success Stories” for our son’s new CrossFit. I figured, sure, I’ll workout and show you that there will be very little change. Three months later I have lost 30 pounds and 8 sizes. I even wear sleeveless tops! Turning 46 has been one of the best years in my life. I’m happier, healthy, and have so much more energy. CrossFit really WORKS! Thank you Ben for getting us hooked on the CrossFit way.
In January Moira had her annual physical. Her doctor was amazed with her improvements and wanted to know what she did to get these results. Dr. Gray had Moira send information specifically about Milestone CrossFit and the Zone Diet.
She has lost 30 pounds and has maintained that weight since October 2010. Her cholesterol went from a high level of 253 to 161. Her Triglycerides went from 233 to 67, LDL’s (“bad” cholesterol) from 150 to 85! Way to go mom!!!
